Secret Santa and Kris Kringle Gifts from Our WA Hives
Small honey gifts that keep to the office budget and still feel like a proper present
Drawing a name out of the hat is the easy part. Finding something for the person from accounts you’ve spoken to twice, or the cousin’s new partner at the family Kris Kringle, is harder, and that’s where a jar of local honey or a little bee gift earns its place. The honey comes from our own hives in regional WA, and most of the gifts here come in under $20.
Order by Friday 11 December for Christmas delivery anywhere in Australia. Free shipping on orders over $129.
Secret Santa Gift Ideas That Won't End Up in a Drawer
Plenty of Secret Santa gifts get a polite laugh at the work party and then sit in a desk drawer until March. Something to eat avoids that problem entirely. Our honey peanut brittle is handmade in small batches and comes in a 150g bag, the honey marshmallows tend to disappear from the staff room by morning tea, and a 500g jar of Bush Honey is the sort of gift nobody minds receiving, whoever they turn out to be.
If your office has someone who puts chilli on everything, a jar of Chilli Honey or Fermented Habanero Hot Honey is a safe bet. Both start with our raw bush honey, with the chilli fermented into it for at least four weeks. The chilli one is sweet first with the heat arriving after, while the habanero builds slowly and sits in the background.
Kris Kringle Gifts Under $20
Kris Kringle with friends or the extended family usually comes with a firm budget, and $20 stretches further here than you might expect. Honey lollipops are individually wrapped and come singly, in threes or in a five pack, and a honey soap or a beeswax lip balm sits well under $10, so two small things together still land under the limit.
For the cousin who already has every candle going, enamel bee pins and crochet bees are small enough to slip into a card and a bit more memorable than another box of chocolates.
A Shared Office Gift When the Whole Team Chips In
Some offices skip Secret Santa and put money in for one bigger present for the boss or the team leader instead. The honey sample box works well on a shared table, since everyone gets a taste of a few different honeys, and the 2 jar honey gift pack makes a tidy thank you from the whole team without feeling like a last-minute grab.
Local Secret Santa Gifts Made in WA
A local gift goes down well at a WA workplace, especially one that came from hives just up the road. Our honey is produced across regional WA, near Lancelin and down south, and our Red Gum honey took home a Gold World Taste Award in 2024, which gives the person opening it something to talk about at the party.
Every jar is 100% raw honey with nothing added and nothing removed. If you’re also buying for family, the rest of our honey gifts are sorted by budget and by who they’re for on the main gifts page.
Getting It There Before the Work Party
We ship right across Australia, and anything in glass goes by Express post. Orders over $129 ship free for parcels under 5kg, which is easy to reach if you’re picking up Secret Santa and family presents in the one order.
We can take up to 7 business days to pack your order before it goes to the post office, so these are the last days to order from us for Christmas delivery. Left it late? Collect your order from us at Malaga Markets on Bonner Drive, Friday to Sunday.
These dates allow up to 7 business days for us to pack your order before Australia Post’s last Christmas sending dates from WA in 2026, for metro addresses. Regional addresses need a little longer.
Secret Santa Gift FAQs
What's a good Secret Santa gift under $20?
A 500g jar of Bush Honey is the classic. If you’d rather keep it small, a bag of honey peanut brittle with a beeswax lip balm comes in just under $20, and a five pack of honey lollipops leaves change from $15.
Can I buy Kris Kringle gifts for a few people in one order?
Yes, and if the order comes to $129 or more, shipping is free.
What do I buy for someone I don't know very well?
Go for something to eat or something small and useful. A jar of Bush Honey, a bag of honey peanut brittle or a beeswax lip balm suits almost anyone, and none of them needs you to know their taste in candles or mugs.
How hot is the hot honey?
Chilli Honey is sweet first and fiery after. The Fermented Habanero Hot Honey has more heat, but it builds slowly rather than hitting you all at once, so most people find it easy to enjoy on cheese, pizza or roast veg.
