Raw honey may naturally crystallise, especially in cooler weather. This is a sign of quality. To return your honey to a liquid state, simply place the jar in a warm water bath or direct sunlight for a few days. Is hot honey very spicy?

It isn’t as intense as you might expect. The sweetness softens the heat, so instead of a sharp burn, you get a gentle warmth that builds gradually.

Can I use hot honey for cooking?

It works both during cooking and as a finishing drizzle, depending on how you want to use it. We love it on fried chicken!

How should I store hot honey?

Store at room temperature in the pantry. If it crystallises, gently warming the jar will return it to a smooth consistency. We don’t recommend refrigerating it.
